THE RECHARGE PROCESS

Most wellness franchises love to brag about their high profit margins, endless streams of revenue and unlimited ways to upsell their customers and require investments of $400,000 or much more to get started.  At Recharge we believe that owning a wellness studio should be more about using science backed modalities and improving our customers health & wellness, and less about high profit margins and aggressive upsells.  That is why we design our studios so that our partners get all of the wellness equipment they need for their Recharge studio for typically less than $8k down and monthly payments under $2000 and we don't charge a royalty on their monthly sales.  From our perspective wellness studios don't need high profit margins, endless streams of revenue or aggressive upsell tactics if your monthly operating budget is under $10k per month, but you will need all of those tactics after you borrow $400k or more and have to pay all that money back with interest along with paying their monthly sales royalty payments.

 

We think it's a bigger flex for a wellness studio to brag about the 90,000+ wellness sessions they delivered or the 2,500 clients that purchased passes without a contract and come into the studio month after month to improve their health & wellness on an unlimited basis.  Or the fact that Recharge has to limit the number of passes we sell each month to prevent overcrowding at the studio.  Recharge wants to put the wellness back into the health & wellness business and eliminate the high profit margins, endless streams of revenue, aggressive upsell tactics and instead help America get healthy with access to unlimited wellness.

The process of opening a new Recharge studio is a lot different than other wellness business opportunities. Recharge is the only wellness business that performs a 90-day market analysis that tests the market before our partners financially commit to opening a Recharge wellness studio.  We believe that our owners should understand their market, know how much demand exists, know which therapies are popular and know who their target audience will be, before they commit financially to opening a wellness studio.  We like to make sure that our partners don't overspend on wellness equipment unless their market analysis deems it to be necessary.

 

Recharge doesn't profit off the sale of our equipment so we have no incentive for our partners to purchase equipment that will not be popular at their studio when they open.  So rather than requiring our partner locations start with 90+ wellness modalities on day 1, we perform a 90-day market analysis to test market demand before we decide which modalities your location should offer.  This helps us to specifically identify which of the 90+ modalities we currently offer will be the most popular in your market to start and which should be added over time. This dramatically reduces the initial investment in a Recharge studio and more importantly the risk.  Also, we know your Recharge will be popular starting on day 1 because the market informed us of which therapies they are most excited to use right now.

 

More importantly, rather than our partner locations borrowing the money to purchase all of the equipment upfront, they are able to use the profits from the business to slowly grow their studio, by adding new therapies to their selection over time.  Even with this staggered approach a Recharge studio will still offer a larger selection for a lower cost than any competitor in the market and as the months go by and you continue adding modalities the gap between you and your local competitors continues to grow. This was the same strategy we used to open our very first location in Cleveland and we were debt free in less than 36 months and we continue to add modalities with profits from the business.

THE RECHARGE MISSION

When we first developed the Recharge Health & Wellness concept, our mission was to make wellness affordable to everyone by making it insanely inexpensive with unlimited access to over 50+ science-backed wellness modalities.  

 

With typical infrared sauna sessions costing $60-$70 per session, very few people can afford to maintain their wellness plan consistently or change the trajectory of their health condition.  But when we created a wellness studio that offered 50+ wellness modalities that customers could access 3,4 or 5 times a week and do 3-4 modalities each visit, for as little as $99 per month, now that was a game changer.

WHY CHOOSE RECHARGE

Many people dream about opening their own wellness studio, but unfortunately most wellness franchises cost between $450,000 and $1.5 million dollars to open with $50,000+ upfront fees, which is honestly out of most people's price range.  After investing $1 million dollars, these wellness franchises are simply unable to offer affordable unlimited wellness to their customers because they have to repay the large investment they made at start-up. That's why we developed Recharge Health & Wellness, an unlimited wellness studio that is a fraction of the cost of a typical wellness franchise.  Every Recharge studio is customized to the market location, and only offers what's in high demand in that region when they first open, and additional therapies are added over time.

 We receive 4,000+ visits each month from people all over the world with wellness minded personalities that are interested in opening a Recharge Studio.  Not every person or market will be a good candidate to open a Recharge wellness studio, and we won't know this until after we complete the 90-day market analysis and have a conversation with the partner.  Recharge doesn't charge a large upfront fee, so there is no financial incentive for us to partner with an owner and open a Recharge studio that will not have obvious long-term success.  We prefer not to guess or gamble with our partners money, but rather to test the market and be certain of the outcome before we ask a partner to commit financially.

OUR BACKGROUND

Since we opened Recharge in 2020, we have grown to over 2,500+ members, delivered over 90,000 sessions and now have to limit the number of passes we sell each month to prevent overcrowding at the club.  Spending only $30-$50 per day on advertising is all that is required for Recharge to generate 300-400 daily unique visitors to the website and $25,000 - $35,000 in sales each month and if sales goals are larger, you simply increase your marketing budget.

MARKET ANALYSIS

The single biggest mistake most wellness owners make is not performing a market analysis to find out where the highest demand for their service is before they select their location.  By selecting a location first, based on household income, demographics or a gut feeling, without knowing where your highest concentration of interested customers are coming from, you are leaving the success of your studio to chance.  In our 4+ years of experience, we found that customers are not willing to drive 20-30 miles several times a week, long term, regardless of how great of a deal we offer. That is why we built the 30-day, 60-day, 90-day milestone process. We needed to know before we opened or invested money, where the most interested customers are located that are actively searching for wellness services, not after we opened. Ideally, you want to see a pocket where the highest demand is coming from in all 4 directions and place your studio right in the center of that demand.

MARKET ANALYSIS MILESTONES

Before we ever sign an agreement with a potential new partner, and they invest their money, Recharge builds each new partner location a complete fully functional Recharge website with their own custom branding and launches an aggressive marketing campaign.  Each new partner location must meet the 30-, 60- and 90-day milestones that are required to move forward. â€‹We used these 30-, 60- and 90-day milestones when we launched the first Recharge to gauge the market size and demand for each of the services that we offered. It also was effective for determining the size of our studio and where it should be located which helped keep our monthly expenses under control.

WORKING WITH THE DATA

Working with this data, our new partners have a much better understanding as to which therapies they should offer to start with, which they should not, how big they should make their studio, and who is their main audience demographic. This process dramatically simplifies and reduces the risk involved with opening a new wellness studio by reducing potential overspending on cool trendy therapies that will turn out to be not that popular or profitable after you open in your market. â€‹

RECHARGE LOCATION DESIGN

At Recharge it's all about the science backed wellness modalities, so we place no restrictions on the size, placement or the look and feel of each studio.  Where the typical wellness franchise wants every location to look and feel the same, which costs their franchise owners $300k - $400k in construction and build out costs. We are fine with a Dallas, Texas Recharge Studio being a 2,000 sq/ft retail location and a Seattle, Washington Recharge Studio having a 4,000 sq/ft warehouse location.  We want each Recharge Studio to be properly sized to market demand with the widest range of the most popular modalities, for the most reasonable unlimited session price.  To us its more important that every Recharge Studio offers science backed modalities and is staffed with knowledgeable compassionate people, than we care what color you paint the walls.

RECHARGE TERRITORIES

We currently offer one Recharge licensed partner location per market, and each new partner location must be 25 or more miles aways from any existing Recharge location to avoid competing over the same customer.

RESERVE YOUR MARKET

 If you would like to reserve your territory while you do your homework and try to decide if this is your future, Recharge does offer a 6-month territory reservation hold for a $1.500 refundable security deposit.  If you decide to not move forward with your Recharge studio anytime throughout the 6-month hold period, your deposit will be refunded, and your territory will become available for others to purchase.  Recharge only offers one territory reservation hold per person and only one Recharge per territory is permitted.

30 DAY MILESTONE

The first step after selecting a new market location is to build and launch your fully functional Recharge website and deploy our proven marketing plan.  Using a group of trusted ads, Recharge aims to identify and gauge the level of potential customer interest in your desired market. Since we have used these exact ads for years, we already know they work and what response will produce effective profitable results for your studio.

60 DAY MILESTONE

Now that we are confident that there is a large customer demand in your market, we next need to know which modalities, specific therapies or labs you should offer at your Recharge studio when you open.  By deploying a group of modality specific proven ads, we are able to isolate which exact wellness modalities will draw in new business to your Recharge studio.  This step is critical to prevent overspending on wellness equipment that will not be beneficial or profitable to your Recharge studio on day 1.

90 DAY MILESTONE

Next, we need to understand the average age, wellness knowledge and demographics of your potential customer.  A Recharge studio in Naples, FL will have a different age demographic than a Recharge studio in Seattle, WA.  By deploying a group of age specific & health condition proven ads, we are able to isolate which exact age demographic will likely use your Recharge studio.  This data will help you customize your Recharge studio, and tailor it specifically to your largest customer audience, making it more desirable to those clients that will use it most.

ANALYZING THE DATA

Now that we have gathered a lot of details about your potential customer audience, including their age and the therapies that they are most likely to use, and their level of interest we are ready to begin designing your studio on paper and selecting the wellness equipment.  The team at Recharge will walk you through this entire process and explain all of your options, each step along the way.  Every studio is customized to the specific location and budget.

FINANCING YOUR DREAM

Once we have selected all of the individual pieces of equipment, we can now walk you through all of your finance options.  Our goal is to make all Recharge partner locations debt free within 3 years to make owning a Recharge a stress-free endeavor, so limiting how much we spend on wellness equipment in the beginning is critical.

OUR FINAL CHECKS

Once your financing is approved, we have prepared a monthly cost analysis of how much it will cost to operate your Recharge studio, and when we both are comfortable with everything and agree that this will be a successful endeavor, we will sign the agreement and begin the process.

CHOOSING YOUR LOCATION

There are no specific requirements for where you locate your Recharge studio, so retail space, warehouse space or medical office space are all contenders.  The important thing is to find the best location that requires the least amount of construction for the best per square foot cost. Remember, Recharge Health & Wellness is the only unlimited wellness business of its kind, so flashy retail locations are not necessary.  The vast array of therapy modality options and unlimited session access pricing will drive the wellness minded customers to your studio, wherever its located.

By the time your Recharge studio is ready to open to the public we will have been marketing and advertising for at least 6 months spreading the word about the newest Recharge location, which will create immediate sales success.  This will dramatically shorten the time it takes for your studio to begin operating profitably.

 All Recharge studios are independently owned and operated, and Recharge places No Restrictions on selling your studio to whomever you wish. You only pay Recharge to manage your website, manage your advertising and consult you on any/all wellness questions you may have anytime throughout the process.  So, when you want to expand and add new therapies, or replace unpopular therapies we will be there for you, consulting you about the best options available.
